Job Description

Bridgemead Consulting is recruiting for the position of an Inventory Associate on behalf of its client; a beverage (Alcoholic and Non-alcoholic beverages) distribution brand located in the heart of Lagos. We are looking for an Inventory Associate who will keep track of goods and supplies in the store or warehouse and manage orders to facilitate sales or production for the organisation. As the Inventory Associate, you must be reliable, professional with excellent record-keeping abilities; must have great attention to detail and also possess a business mindset. The Inventory Associate’s job is to efficiently handle the company’s products and supplies critically for the attainment of business goals. You are expected to Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staffs to ensure business goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages.
  • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
  • Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.
  • Device ways to optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.
  • Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus.
  • Analyze data to anticipate future needs.
  • Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships.
  • Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met.
  • Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
  • Other responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience

Academic Qualification (s)

BSc. in Business administration, Accounting, Logistics or relevant field.

Years of Experience

Minimum of two years’ experience as an Inventory manager or similar position.

Other experience

- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods. - Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP).
